Melting Point Meters

Melting point meters or Melting point apparatus can be used to determine a material’s quality and safety at various temperatures. A melting point meter determines melting point temperatures by gradually heating and observing samples. The user observes the sample to determine when the phase change from solid to liquid occurs. The user then records the temperature range starting with the initial change from solid to liquid temperature and ending with the completed change from solid to liquid temperature. The temperature range that is determined can then be averaged to determine the melting point of the sample being examined.
