Filtration Systems
Vacuum filtration is a common laboratory technique used for a variety of laboratory applications including suspended solid test, filtration for a microbiology test, and general laboratory filtration tests for separating a solid product from a liquid. Laboratory Filtration systems are comprised but not limited to a manifold, filter, funnel and vacuum pump. The mixture of solid and liquid is poured through a filter paper in a funnel. The solid is trapped by the filter and the liquid is drawn through the funnel into a flask by a vacuum pump.
