Forced Convection vs Natural Convection

Forced convection ovens or incubators use a fan to actively circulate hot air, ensuring uniform temperature distribution and faster heating. In contrast, natural convection rely on gravity-driven airflow, where hot air rises and cooler air sinks. This results in slower, less uniform heating but gentler airflow, ideal for sensitive samples.

Precise and Consistent Temperature Control

Both incubators feature a 3-point calibration system that ensures temperature consistency and repeatability. With airflow uniformity maintained to ±0.41 °C at 37 °C, they are well-suited for sensitive applications.

The IB4-V includes Ramp Control™, allowing users to set the rate of temperature increase. This helps protect temperature-sensitive samples. Additionally, high and low-temperature limits can be set, triggering alerts for optimal environmental stability.

Get Connected

Monitor and control your chamber remotely using the LC Connected mobile app when paired with the LC GreenBox. This convenient setup allows you to access real-time data, adjust settings, and ensure reliable performance from anywhere. All collected data can be easily exported as Excel or text files for seamless reporting and further analysis.

Smart Interfaces for Streamlined Operation

The IB4-S includes a 3.5-inch touchscreen, while the IB4-V upgrades to a 5-inch display with graphical monitoring and preset temperature suggestions. Both models feature a “Wait on / Wait off” timer for efficient scheduling.

Moreover, each incubator connects via RS-232/USB, enabling seamless software integration for better experiment tracking and data handling.

Remote Monitoring and Laboratory Integration

Both models integrate with your Building Management System (BMS), providing real-time updates. For labs that need remote access, the optional LC GreenBox system offers full remote monitoring and control.

The IB4-V also logs the 36 most recent events—such as door openings and system alerts—and automatically stores data in CSV format. Furthermore, the LC DataKeeper software is 21 CFR Part 11 compliant, helping your lab stay audit ready.

Features Designed for Laboratory Uptime

The Jeiotech Forced Convection Incubator series includes practical features to keep your experiments running smoothly:

  • Water tray reduces media drying and supports extended incubation
  • Alarm alerts you when the door remains open too long
  • Auto-restart function kicks in within 30 seconds after power recovery
  • Touchscreen lock avoids accidental setting changes
  • IB4-V stackable design helps maximize lab space
