Quick Set up and Plate Layout Confirmations
Each well can be clearly identified with three key details—well type, sample ID, and dye or target—supporting accurate data analysis and clear visualization of amplification and standard curves. In addition, wells are color-coded by sample type, biological replicate, and technical replicate, with well type and standard curve values displayed for quick reference.
Optical Design and Analysis
The Cielo’s advanced optical system delivers uniform excitation across all 96 wells. Each well collects about 100,000 data points, ensuring exceptional fluorescence resolution and sensitivity. Consequently, scientists no longer need passive reference dyes like ROX, as the system provides accurate quantification even at very low copy numbers. In addition, the software displays real-time amplification curves, customizable thresholds, and heat maps. Easily view all of your data at once or select specific wells/targets to view a subset of your data. Cielo’s software allows you to easily adjust threshold values by dragging the threshold line, or typing in the threshold value. You can visualize amplification curves in linear or log view, and change the color of the amplification curves to easily distinguish the data by Sample ID or target.
Optical Design Eliminates the Need for ROX
Well-based excitation and color-specific LED light sources ensure the excitation efficiency in every well for every channel is the same. Coupled with scanning technology that collects multiple data points from each well, the Cielo’s well-based optical design eliminates the need for normalization dyes, such as ROX. Rather than a single, stationery light source and detector system, the Cielo utilizes 16-well simultaneous excitation and signal detection that ensures uniform data acquisition.
Advanced Multiplexing Capability
This six-channel qPCR platform enables up to six-target multiplexing in one reaction. The Cielo is able to capture approximately 100,000 pixels/wells, enabling accurate, reproducible and sensitive representation of fluorescent intensities from each qPCR well.
