The SLX Series Stereo Microscope by Optika Microscopes is expertly designed to enhance your laboratory experience. Ideal for both professional and educational settings, this microscope is perfect for those in South Africa seeking high-quality laboratory equipment.

Enhanced Eyepiece Design

These specialized eyepieces feature an exit pupil positioned further from the eye lens, making them particularly suitable for eyeglass wearers. This thoughtful design ensures comfort during extended use, allowing you to focus on your observations without strain.

Advanced Illumination Technology

Optika Microscopes has redefined illumination in microscopy. A unique coating process combined with a new, efficient design achieves exceptional brightness levels. With a total magnification capability of up to 135x using 20x eyepieces and a 1.5x additional lens, you can expect outstanding results in every inspection.

Long-lasting and Energy Efficient

The SLX Series is equipped with long-life LED illumination, providing over 20 years of reliable service. This energy-efficient lighting lasts up to 65,000 hours—more than 20 times longer than standard halogen bulbs—saving both money and energy.

Cordless Convenience

Designed for ultimate independence, all models can operate with or without batteries. Each microscope can use three NiMH rechargeable batteries (not included), offering up to 12 hours of autonomy at medium intensity—perfect for outdoor applications.

Safety and Serviceability

Optika Microscopes prioritizes safety with a low voltage, multi-plug external power supply, minimizing any risk of electric shock and ensuring convenient servicing.
