The iCen24 accommodates up to 24 × 1.5/2.0 ml tubes and reaches speeds of up to 14,680 rpm, generating a maximum centrifugal force of 21,400 × g. This allows multiple samples to be processed quickly and efficiently.
The centrifuge reaches maximum speed in approximately 15 seconds, while the soft-brake function provides controlled deceleration to help protect sensitive samples.
User-Friendly Design
A clear LCD display shows real-time speed, RCF, and run time for convenient monitoring. Additionally, the dedicated short-spin key enables quick centrifugation when required.
After each run, the lid opens automatically, allowing fast access to samples and helping to minimise unnecessary heat buildup.
Versatile Rotor Options
The iCen24 supports a variety of tube formats, including 0.2, 0.5, 1.5, 2.0, and 5.0 ml centrifuge and PCR tubes. Three rotor options are available to accommodate different laboratory workflows.
The rotors are manufactured from high-strength aluminium alloy and can withstand high-temperature sterilisation. They are designed for long-term use without a specified service-life limit. The centrifuge also incorporates multiple safety features and complies with CE standards.
iCen24-R Refrigerated Model
For applications requiring controlled sample temperatures, the iCen24-R Refrigerated Microcentrifuge adds active cooling while maintaining the high-speed performance of the iCen24.
The iCen24-R provides a temperature control range from -10 °C to 40 °C and can maintain 4 °C even during high-speed operation. This makes it particularly suitable for temperature-sensitive biological samples and molecular biology workflows.
Pre-cooling from room temperature to 4 °C takes less than 20 minutes. In static pre-cooling mode, the compressor starts automatically when the lid is closed, helping establish the required chamber temperature before centrifugation begins.
