Wireless Alert DC monitors whether a door is open or closed using a two-part door contact sensor on a 350mm cable. The device can send an email alert when the monitored door is opened, closed or both (with configurable alert delays so as to only detect genuine events).
Setup couldn’t be easier. Simply follow the step-by-step guide in the free FilesThruTheAir mobile app (available on Google Play and on the App Store). During setup, you can enter a contact email address and configure alerts for when the door is opened, closed or both. Settings can include a custom message that appears in the alert email, and a custom alert delay period, whereby the device must remain opened or closed for a certain period of time before an alert is sent, so that your device only alerts you to genuine events. Whenever your pre-set conditions are met (e.g. door is open for longer than one minute), an alert email will be sent to your configured contact email address.
The outcome: prompt notification of door activity with timestamps, potentially allowing you monitor controlled storage environments.
The device can also send out daily/weekly/monthly (user-selectable) scheduled summary reports, detailing number of alert events, percentage of open and closed time, and battery level.
Please note: Wi-Fi networks cannot be guaranteed to have 100% uptime, this product should therefore not be relied upon as a stand-alone security device.
