The Safetybox® chemicals, acids and bases line offers certified cabinets for the storage of chemical products, acids and bases. As there is no specific regulation governing the storage of these products, we collaborated with the TUV SUD body to create a reference standard, with the aim of preventing the operator from inhaling toxic/dangerous substances. The reference standards are EN61010-1, EN16121, EN16122 and PPP 52125A. To obtain the certification, the Safetybox® cabinets for chemicals, acids and bases must be equipped with an aspirator (IMQ IPX4), which must always be active, and with an activated charcoal filter.
Before using any chemical product, it is required to acquire information regarding the risk steps and safety recommendations by consulting the technical data sheet of the product. Storage must always take place in a suitable cabinet for exclusive use, which assures direct ventilation or guaranteed by a special air exchange system. The Safetybox® models AB 1100, AB 600, AB 1200/50 and AB 900/50 have separate compartments, one for the storage of acids (with acid-proof painted steel shelves), and one for bases (with stainless steel shelves).
The Safetybox® for chemicals, acids and bases are made of acid-proof materials, have a monolithic external structure and inside are already equipped with shelves and bottom basin, to collect any spills. The doors open up to 180° in order to easily remove the tray-shaped shelves. The hinges are concealed and resistant to corrosive products. Furthermore, the cabinets are equipped with a palletised base (with base cover included), to simplify logistics and placement. The AA 120 New model is equipped with the E-Flow® system: a device which, by adjusting the aspiration, safeguards the operator and protects the environment.
This device can also be installed on certain other models of the line. For the Safetybox models for chemicals, acids and bases, activated charcoal filters with special charcoal are also available, suitable for filtering specific substances. All models in the line have a key lock with extractable cylinder. Safetybox® cabinets are covered by Product Liability Insurance, which will reimburse any damage to persons or property caused by construction faults.
